Edgar Lawson "Eddie" Patton Jr.

Eddie L. Patton, Jr., 71, of Lenox, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 2, 2017 at his home. He was born on February 2, 1945 to the late Edgar and Izola Patton. He married his loving wife, Dianne on March 2, 1979. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Tony "Biscuit" Truscott (Connie); a daughter, Kelly Thorpe (Scott); three grandsons and two great-grandson of Churchton; two grand-daughters whom he raised, Brittiany Atkins (L.B.) and Brooklyn Truscott (Tommy Taylor); a great-grandson, Landon and a great-grand-daughter, Keliann. He is survived by a brother, Billy Patton (Avon) and a host of nieces and nephews. His is also survived by by his late son's family, Allyson Patton, Amber Moore, Austin Patton, Amanda Cahill (Chris), Jennifer Grim, Nathan Moore, Braxton Cahill, Steve Hammond (Tera) and two great-grandkids all of Peoria, Illinois. In addition, he is survived by Gary Patton and Angela Martin. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Barbara Williams; a brother, Charles Patton; a son, Eddie Lynn Patton; a daughter, Regina Patton and an infant daughter, Tammy Lynn Patton. Eddie had a heart of Gold and was a selfless man, whose greatest joy was his family. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and always had a positive attitude and a way of fixing anything. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday at the Lenox Church of God of Prophecy. Officiating will be Pastor David Prince. Visitation will be Thursday from 12:00 until 1:30 at Lenox Church of God of Prophecy. Pallbearers will be Scott Thorpe, L. B. Atkins, Steve Purcell, Paul Daniel Purcell, Austin Patton, Jerry "Bubba" Williams, Steve Hammond and Gene Thurmond In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made at Simmons Bank In Memory of Eddie Patton Benefit Account. The family would like to express their appreciation to Avalon Hospice and a special thanks to Ashley Rogers for the care and compassion she showed to the Patton family.
