Edgar Sarrell Strange Jr.

Edgar Sarrell Strange, Jr., 94, passed away January 8, 2024.
A native of Inman, South Carolina, son of the late Edgar Sarrell Strange, Sr. and Mary Leona Hall Strange, he served in the United States Army National Guard and was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Taylors, South Carolina. Mr. Strange served on the board for Greer Housing Authority for 21 years.
Surviving are one daughter, Rhonda Carrigan (Dean) of Greer, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Eric Strange (Taylor) of Black Mountain, North Carolina, Kathryn Marie West (Becky) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, Paul Strange (Misty) of Travelers Rest, South Carolina, Jeff Strange (Jenny) of Hendersonville, North Carolina, Kathie Melton (Cale) of Boiling Springs, South Carolina, and DeAnna Chisholm of Greer, South Carolina; twenty great-grandchildren; and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Strange was predeceased by one son, Timothy Strange; one grandchild, Daniel Strange; and one great-grandchild, Rhyatt Strange.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary Chapel conducted by Pastor Jamie Howell, Pastor Mark Hatfield, and Rev. Leland Browder. Burial will follow in Wood Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:45 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024, at The Wood Mortuary.
