Edith I. Anderson, of Folsom, PA, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025, at the age of 93.
Born on October 19, 1931, Edith was the beloved daughter of the late George Washington Bowers and Bessie Irene Bowers (née Long). She was one of eleven children and is now reunited with her ten predeceased siblings.
Edith lived a life marked by kindness, joy, and a deep love for family and community. She found great happiness in the simple pleasures of life, tending to her garden, baking sweet treats, and walking through her neighborhood where she was sure to make a friend wherever she went. Her warm smile and easy laughter left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She was an active member of the Golden Ages Seniors Club and took great pride in her work as a bus aide, where she formed special bonds with the children she cared for daily. Her love for old-style country music filled her home and heart, and her strong yet gentle spirit made her a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Edith is survived by her loving children, Frank Anderson (Liz) and Doreen Williams (Dave); her adoring grandchildren, Heather Schneider (Brian), Jen Anderson (Steve), Kaitlyn Anderson, and Rachel Williams (Leigh); and her treasured great-grandchildren, Callan and Avery Schneider, and Reed Schneider—who shared a birthday with Edith, a connection that always brought her special joy.
Edith's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Family and friends are invited to attend Edith’s visitation on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 11:00 AM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Ave, Morton, PA 19070. Interment will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery.
