Edith Brown

Brown, Edith G., age 82 of Clinton, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, November 29, 2014. She was a faithful Christian, attending Greenway Baptist Church in Clinton. She is preceded in death by parents Roy and Margaret and step-mother Lizzie Hagwood; her brother Charles (Bud) Hagwood and two sons, Randy and Chris Brown. She is survived by sister, Joetta Turner; children, Kathy Redmon and Jerry Henderson, Benny Brown, Debbie and Wesley Lee, Eddie and Carol Brown and Donna Cook; grandchildren, Tommy Lane, Angel Farley, Randi Brown, Wes and Walt Lee, Stephen Brown, Danty Cook, Christopher Brown, and Lauren Lowe. She had several great-grandchildren. Edith retired after 25 years at Levi Strauss'. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed gardening, canning and quilting. She was an amazing and inspirational Mother – working full-time while raising seven children by herself. She will forever be loved, cherished and now, intensely missed. Family will receive friends on Monday, Dec 1st at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton from 6-8PM with services immediately following. A graveside service will be on Tuesday, Dec 2nd at 11AM at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Powell. We are honored to have Rev. Danny Light officiating.
