Edith Viola "Pete" Brusher

Edith Viola Brusher, affectionately known as "Pete", who was the beloved matriarch and the cherished heart of her family, passed away on October 17, 2025, in Trenton, Michigan, at the age of 82. Born on November 13, 1942, in Richmond, Indiana, Pete spent a lifetime devoted to her family and friends, enriching their lives with her loving presence and sage wisdom.

Pete was the rock of her family, always finding joy in spending time with her loved ones. She deeply adored her late husband, Richard "Dick" Brusher, and together they built a family filled with warmth and enduring love. Pete's children, Richard "Ricky" Brusher (Linda Hutchinson), Tonia (Johnny Aldrich) Blondia, Craig Brusher (Nicole), and Mike Eichstedt (Laurie), were the light of her life. Her grandchildren, Mandy Kilpatrick (David), Ashley Miscikoski (Kelly), Bobby Blondia (Caitlin), Jessica Brusher, Christopher Brusher, Cameron Brusher, Kiersta Eichstedt, Kayla (Andrew) and Ryan Dionne, were her pride and joy, along with her dearly loved great-grandchildren Dawson, Alydia, Rhys, Kolt, Megan, Ava Ann, Sophia, and Lucas.

Pete had a remarkable ability to bring people together, often hosting gatherings where she shared her love for cooking and lively conversation. Her home was filled with laughter, warmth, and music, particularly the timeless tunes of Elvis. Known for her candid nature, Pete was never shy to offer heartfelt advice and put others in their place when needed, earning the respect and admiration of all who knew her.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard "Dick," her parents, Vearl and Mary, and her siblings Wanda, Melanie "Hoosie," and Toye, Pete leaves behind her sisters Linda Adams (Neil) and Cindy Sutherland, as well as several nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A service celebrating Pete's life will take place on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Michigan Memorial Park, where Pete will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband.

Pete Viola Brusher will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will forever warm the hearts of those she leaves behind.
