Edith Davis Obituary

Published by Legacy on Nov. 10, 2025.
Edith Neoma Wallace Davis, age 95, went to her heavenly home on Friday morning, November 7, 2025, surrounded by love. She was born on April 17, 1930, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Homer and Bonnie Wallace.

Edith was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Minet M Davis. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, faith, and family.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Jon and Jim (Pat); two cherished grandchildren, Jenny (Mike) Metz and Allison (Brandon) Mosley; and five adored great-grandchildren, Carly, Gracie, Eli, Carter, and Olivia. She also leaves behind nephews Jerry Martin and Jay Wallace, and niece Terri King, along with many other dear friends who will miss her deeply.

A retired teacher and devoted member of Lakewood Methodist Church, Edith dedicated her life to serving others. Those who knew Edith will always remember her spunky spirit, her kind and giving heart, and her faith that never wavered. She found great joy in spending time with her family, sharing laughter with friends, and helping those in need.

A private family committal service will be held at Houston National Cemetery, where Edith will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

To celebrate her life, a memorial service will be held at a later date, and details will be shared once arrangements are finalized.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Edith's memory by donating to Friends of Israel.
