Edith Grace, 95 of Higginsville, Missouri died on Friday, October 9, 2015, at St. Mary's Manor in Blue Springs, Missouri. Born Monday, August 2, 1920 in Linn Creek, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Elmer Sousley Sr. and the late Winifred Martin Sousley. She was the wife of the late Virgil S. Grace, he preceded her in death on December 6, 1985. Also preceding her in death are one son, Sonny Grace; two brothers, Clyde E. Sousley Jr. and Leroy Sousley; one sister, Hazel Mahnken and one granddaughter Sabrina Geogeulakos. Mrs. Grace was a member of the Linn Creek Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Foster Grandparent Program at the Higginsville Headstart Center. A member of the Higginsville V.F. W. Auxiliary and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Edith worked as a seamstress at the Higginsville Garment Factory until she retired in 1984. After she retired she went back to work as a CNA supervisor at the Lexington Care Center, and worked at Good Shepherd Home in Concordia. Surviving are three daughters, Sherry (Pete) Frerking of Higginsville, MO., Louise Cocklin of Independence, MO, Susan (Mark) McCulloch of Blue Springs, MO.; twelve grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. A Funeral service will be at 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday at Hoefer Chapel located at 1600 Main St. Higginsville, Missouri 64037 with the Rev. Mary Biesemeyer officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. to 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at Hoefer Chapel, 1600 Main St., Higginsville, Missouri. Memorial contributions may be sent to Higginsville Headstart Program Higginsville, MO 64037. Pallbearers are Andy Frerking, Andy Pulverenti, Tom McCulloch, Adam Howery, Brad Byrd and Chance Byrd.
