Date of Death: March 19, 2011
Date of Birth: October 28, 1936
Edith B (Madison) Kyle of Auburn, ME, age 74, died peacefully on March 19, 2011 at Clover Nursing Home following a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease.
She was born on October 28, 1936 in Goffstown, NH to John and Frances Madison. She was raised and went to school in Milford, NH. Though she lived many places in her life, New Hampshire was always her "home". She married Forest Neil Kyle on June 21, 1958. During their 29 years together they had 4 children. They traveled and lived many places in the United States and enjoyed many adventures.
She was a devout Christian and a member of the Church of Christ in both Ohio and Maine for many years. She loved gardening, taking care of her cats and dogs and most especially spending time with her family. She worked for over 20 years in the Head Start program in both Ohio and Maine. She loved every single child she came into contact with there. She always welcomed everyone with an open heart and a smile. She never turned anyone away.
She is survived by her four children Michael Kyle of Montverde, FL, David Kyle Of Auburn, Judith Turmenne and husband Peter of Auburn and Christine Francis and husband Nathan of Lewiston; seven Grandchildren, Robert Kyle, Keri Kyle, Melissa Kyle, Cassandra Kyle, Amber Kyle, Josh Kyle and Connor Francis; two Great-Grandchildren, Kalvin Kyle and Karla Kyle; Sister, Winona Landry of Lewiston; Brother, Theodore Madison of Nashua, NH; former husband, Forest Neil Kyle of Florida; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She is pre-deceased by her parents and her brother Roland Madison.
