Edith Annette Lyons

1932 - 2023

Edith Annette Lyons, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023 at the age of 91. Edith was born July 30, 1932 in Monroe, Virginia to Hallie J. Lyons and Clarence E. Lyons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving sisters Della L. Will and spouse Francis, Ruby Louise Lyons and brothers Cecil D. Jennings, Herbert Reed Lyons and spouse Irene, and Kenneth G. Lyons, Sr.

She is survived by her sister, Shirley P. Lyons of Lynchburg, Virginia and brother Jack Lyons (Vivian) of Monroe, Virginia. Edith is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews: Sandra W. Driskill (Buddy) of Evington, Virginia; Marlon G. Will (Suzanne) of Atlanta, Georgia; Sharon E. Will of Madison Heights, Virginia; Kenneth G. Lyons, Jr. of Lake Charles, Louisiana; and Wilson C. Lyons (Cheri) of Williamsburg, Virginia.

The family would like to thank the staff of Seven Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing of Lynchburg, Virginia and Hospice of Virginia for all the loving support and care that they provided to her.

Graveside service will be held at Amherst Cemetery on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. Pastor Mike Fitzgerald will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to First Baptist Church of Monroe, 139 Francis Avenue, Monroe, Virginia 24574.
