Edith Moore Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Anders-Detweiler Funeral Home & Crematory - Souderton on Feb. 9, 2026.
Edith "Edie" Mae (Delcamp) Moore, 78, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania, formerly of Shenandoah, PA, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Ivory Nursing and Rehabilitation in East Norriton, PA.

Edith was the beloved wife of George David "Dave" Moore, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage. Born in Shenandoah, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Donald Delcamp and the late Lucille (Richards) Delcamp. She was a graduate of J.W. Cooper High School, Shenandoah, Class of 1965.

Edith dedicated much of her life to her work as a housekeeper, a role she took great pride in. She was employed by the former Central Sprinkler Company in Lansdale, PA, and later served as a housekeeper and supervisor at Gwynedd Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lansdale. She also worked for several years as a housekeeper at St. Mary's Manor in Lansdale, PA. Cleaning was not only her profession but something she genuinely loved.

She was a former member of the SPARK Senior Center of Lansdale (formerly The PEAK Center of Greater Harleysville and North Penn Senior Services) and was a faithful former member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church in North Wales.

Edith had a deep and lifelong passion for Jesus, nurtured from a young age through Sunday school. She loved reading Scripture and watching Biblical programs, including Watch Word Bible, Joyce Meyer, Andrew Wommack, Charles Stanley, Joel Osteen, Rabbi Schneider, and Joseph Prince. She also enjoyed watching her favorite television shows such as The Waltons, Matlock, Perry Mason, America Says, and The Young and the Restless. A devoted football fan, she loved cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles. Edith especially cherished vacations to Cape May, New Jersey, spent with her husband.

Known for her gentle spirit, Edith was kind, wise, and non-judgmental, offering words of wisdom and enjoyed a dry sense of humor. She was loving, honest, and told it like it was, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her through her faith in Jesus.

In addition to her husband, Edith is survived by her daughter, Connie Lynn Minnig and her husband, Andrew "Andy," of Hatfield, PA; her son, Anthony Zemalis and his wife, Wendi, of Windber, PA; and her grandson, Tarik Zemalis of Telford, PA. She is also survived by her former husband, Anthony Robert Zemalis, Jr. & wife, Candace of Hatfield, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Barbara A. Heffner of Mahanoy City, PA, and Donna Delcamp of Shenandoah, PA, as well as her brother-in-law, Fred Heffner.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. Burial will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.
