Edith Osias was born in Petit Ti Groave, Haiti to the late Benita Osias and her father whom she never got the chance to meet; being that he passed while sister Edith was 3 months in her mother's womb on November 6th, 1955. Is where the legacy of our beloved Sister Edith began, she was the eldest child of seven. Sister Edith loving spirit left an inspirational light in everything she touched and every life she entered. This spirit was present with Sister Edith since she was a child, Edith was admirable, respectful, a hard worker, and always helpful, helping her mother by taking care of the family. It was always in Sister Edith's nature to be supportive and loving of the family which she did with resilience. In 1980, Sister Edith was gifted the opportunity from her adoptive father, Jean Louissaint, she was able to relocate to the United States. This life changing opportunity would test her resilience and her character show the reason why we are all gathered here today. The journey to the United States provided support to the family back home in Haiti. Shortly after moving to the United States Sister Edith lost her father Jean Louissaint and 2 years after she lost her beloved Mother this is how Sis Edith became the matriarch and the primary financial support for her entire family back in Haiti.
While living in the U.S., Edith was able to grow her career, by first completing her education. Sister Edith received her GED a then enrolled in a tech school where she obtained her Home Heath Aid certificate and a Certified Nursing Assist certification. Sister Edith worked in this field which did come as a shock being that she always had a nurturing and loving spirit. Sister Edith then returned to South Florida, and decided she wanted a her angelic spirit of helping and caring for others brought her back to the nursing field. Sister Edith completed her License Practical Nursing program.
Sister Edith was constantly described as an affectionate, determined, hilarious woman with a memorable personality. The love that she had for people was pure and genuine. When Sister Edith says she "loves you" she made sure you felt that love. Whether it be the right words in the moment, a prayer or even thru her humor you felt it. Sister Edith loves spending time creating memories with her family, traveling, gardening and cooking for grand babies, she knew each of their favorite meals. Sister Edith was always happy to share her Haitian culture with her babies.
Sister Edith, she was known to many beyond her family and her community. She loved to love and speak life into others, Sister Edith was the epitome of walking in your purpose and continually served God while doing so. Sister Edith was truly a humbled woman whose love for God impacted many all around the world. She was devoted to her calling as a Prayer Warrior. Her servitude and faithfulness in the Kingdom of God was unmatched. She was special and it showed through her dedication to the ministry of Intercession for others as she interceded through prayer lines (Flambeau and Ligne Celestial), and as an Ambassador of Fully Redeemed Outreach Ministry; where her son is the pastor.
