Edith E. Reardon

Edith E. "Edie" (Nye) Reardon, 78, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014, at the Sarah Brayton Nursing Care Center in Fall River after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Charles R. Reardon. Born and raised in Charlestown, she was a graduate of Charlestown High School. Mrs. Reardon was a resident of Stoughton from 1970-2009 until moving to the Emmanuel House in Brockton for the past 5 years. She was a member of the Stoughton Association of Exceptional Citizens. In her free time, she enjoyed dancing, traveling, needlepoint and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Reardon is survived by her children, Kathleen L. Nye, Kevin P. and Brian G. Reardon all of Brockton, Michael T. Reardon of S. Dartmouth and Daniel S. and his wife Theresa and Colleen M. LaFarge and her husband Gerald all of Stoughton. She was the mother of the late Charles G. Reardon. She was the sister of Gerald Nye of Charlestown and the late Ralph Nye, George Nye, Robert Nye, Ferdinand Nye, Edna Walrath and Florence Neuwinger. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, February, 22 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Donations in Edie's memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 480 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
