Edith Strom Obituary
Mrs. Edith Nogueira Strom, age 90, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025 in Vancleave, Mississippi.
Edith was born on January 19, 1935 in Jacksonville, Florida to parents, Joe Nogueira and Laura “Leola” Thomas. She attended Edison Community College in Fort Meyers, FL, and Syracuse University – Krause College of Music. Her career as a musician spanned over 35 years, working as choir director, church organist and piano teacher. She was a proud member of the American Guild of Organists. She was also a homebody and enjoyed the many simplicities in life.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jefferson David Strom, Sr. and parents, Joe Nogueira and Laura “Leola” Thomas Brubaker.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her son, Jefferson David Strom, Jr., and a dear cousin, Dan Nogueira.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 23rd 2025, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 13872 Lemoyne Blvd. Biloxi, MS, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
