Edith Tolle Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Turner Funeral Home on Jan. 28, 2024.
Edith June (Angel) Tolle, age 88 of Leesburg, passed gently into the arms of Jesus Thursday evening January 25, 2024. Her family now believes she's in heaven, burning the dinner rolls. They aren't sure if even the angels in Heaven can help her with that! Edie, as most knew her, was born October 14, 1935 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Norman Paul and Hattie Belle (Owens) Angel. She had retired from Fairfield Local Schools after nearly thirty years of service and was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was also a member of the Leesburg Church of Christ. She is survived by six children, Mark (Connie) Wiseman of Greenfield, Rex (Carla Slack) Wiseman of Wilmington, Dee Ann (Mark) Shelton of Leesburg, Lee Ann Brooks of Wilmington, Rhonda (Mickey) Runk of Wilmington, and Richard Glenn II (Angie) Tolle of Leesburg; twelve grandchildren, Mark II, Richie, Clint, Josh, Jesse, Elissa, Luke, Lauren, Jay, Katie, Dewey, Dallas, and Jacob; eighteen great grandchildren, Mark III, Cole, Bryceton, Camden, Makaleigh, Payton, Lorelai, Ellie, Addilyn, Jayce, Cataleya "Gracie", Nehemiah, Aaliyah, Jaylyn, Alana, Lydia, Nevaeh, Yuri; as well as her special nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings Paul Angel, Ruth Helen Angel, Betty Royse, Jean Bivens, and Louvena Angel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday February 1, 2024 at the Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday February 2, officiated by Pastor Jim Rankin. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
So, if you should ever look to the skies and see black smoke billowing from the Heavens, have no fear. Smile and laugh with us. It's just Grandma - burning the dinner rolls AGAIN!
