Edith Yolanda Hughes Williams, 62, of Locust Grove, departed this life on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in Batesville. She was born on January 18, 1964, in Des Arc, Arkansas, to Lewis Hughes and Laura Cox Hughes.
Edith loved to travel the United States especially driving her long haul trucks. Even after her retirement, several truckers who knew her well, would call her to ask her which routes to take to save them time and money. She also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Joe Williams, of the home: her sons, Joshua Williams, and C. J. Woodam; her daughters, Kristi Williams, Litica Tegpen, and Kimberly Williams; her sister, Estel Mosier; her brothers, Lloyd Hughes, Paul Hughes, and Stanley Hughes; six grandchildren; and several nieces; nephews; and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Louis Rainey; and her brothers, Lowell Hughes and James Hughes.
