Edmund Brennan Obituary

BRISTOL

Edmund J. Ned Brennan, 64, Passed away peacefully at home on Friday, November 14, 2025, in Bristol. He was the much beloved twin brother of Robert Brennan, with whom he shared a house and a life. He also leaves behind his loving sisters, Nancy Royer of Collinsville and her husband Phillip, and Janet Parker of Hawaii and her husband David. He also leaves behind his nephew Michael Royer and his wife Jessica of Watertown, nephew Joseph Royer of New Mexico, and nephew Peter Royer and his fianc Heather Murphy of Canton, and his niece Katie Parker of Hawaii. Born in Boston on February 19, 1961, Ned was the son of the late Edmund F. Brennan and Mary Katherine (Tessier) Brennan. Ned had worked for American Customer Care in Bristol but was retired due to health problems. Ned loved spending time with his brother Bob, together they took road trips, twice to Key West, and staying at the family summer cottage in Marshfield, Massachusetts. On warm days he enjoyed a cigar on the front porch, often joined by his rescue cat Rufus, whom he indulged with treats often. He was a fan of culinary shows such as The

Great British Bake Off and Top Chef. Ned enjoyed finding the perfect Christmas gifts for his nephews as they grew up, taking great delight in bringing happiness to others. Ned's dry sense of humor was well known. Before he became ill Ned was part of a comedy show on Nutmeg TV known as Improvision with his brother Bob directing. His original characters and improvisations always had the rest of the cast and crew laughing, especially his character Father Brennan, a tough-talking priest with some unexpected views. Ned was a kind and gentle soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. All services for Ned will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to ARF, 366 Main St, Terryville, CT 06786. Please visit Ned's memorial page at www.FunkFuneralHome.com. Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol is honored to be assisting Neds family during this difficult time.
