Mr. Edmund L. Hall, age 81 of LaFollette passed away Sunday, July 30, 2023. Edmund was known for his infectious laugh, and those who grew up with him, affectionately called him “Cookie”. He faithfully attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, where from a young age, served as Alter Boy, and later, served as Lector during Mass. Edmund was a Brick, Block, and Rock Mason by trade, and was a 40-year member of the International Union of Brick Layers and Allied Craft Workers, Local #8. He had a great appreciation for Mathematics and History, and always enjoyed being on-the-go. Preceded in death by Parents, Roy, Sr. and Dolores Hall, Step-Daughter, Marlene Hatfield, Son-in-Law, Charles Johnson, and Brother-in-Law, Bobby Joe McFarland.
Survivors: Wife of 45 years, Carole Ann Porter Hall; Daughter, Carmel Hall; Step-Daughter, Leslie Johnson; Grandchildren, Nowelle Miller and Husband, Robert, Damon Johnson and Wife, Gillian, Hillary Smith and Husband, Stephen; Great-Grandchildren, Leah Miller, Grayson Smith, and Harper and Callum Johnson; Siblings, Elizabeth Jett, Roy Hall, Jr. and Wife, Billie, Ralph Hall and Wife, Mary, and Alice McFarland; Numerous Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 3, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Walters Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023, 5:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Father Sam Sturm officiating. Interment to follow at Bakers Forge Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to be serving the family of Mr. Edmund L. Hall.
