Edna Bressem

Edna Luella Bressem, age 77, passed away on March 8, 2024, in Pine River, MN.

Edna was born on October 11, 1946, to Elmer and Effie Fairley in Pequot Lakes, MN. She would go on to marry her husband, Richard Bressem, on February 13, 1965. Edna was a loving mom to her children and all the children who came around to visit. She was a great cook. Her dinners and made to order breakfasts were enjoyed by many. She enjoyed baking and every dinner came with a dessert, most often apple crisp.

She liked growing vegetables in her garden and canning. She volunteered in the kitchen at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes. Edna was a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings and sported the team colors often.

Edna is survived by her children, Cindy Bressem, Randy (Melissa) Bressem, and Nichole (Nate) Plante; siblings, Wilma Wheeler, Louise Rice, Patty Volk, and Marie Fairley; grandchildren, James (Eva) Young, Whitney Brunes, and Amber (Chris) Bolstad; and four great-grandchildren.

Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Effie; husband, Richard; and grandson, Zack Brunes.

Services will be held at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes at 11 AM on March 16, 2024, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be at 1:30 PM at Gloria Dei Cemetery. 

Arrangements are entrusted to Kline Funeral Home and Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Pine River.
