Yesterday

Edna was a truly wonderful neighbor and a cherished presence in our lives for over five years, ever since she moved to Chester Springs. She had a rare gift for making everyone around her feel comfortable, welcomed, and valued. Always cheerful and warm, her conversations were filled with kindness, curiosity, and genuine interest in others.
Though we came from very different backgrounds across age, nationality, and culture, Edna´s openness and respect bridged every difference effortlessly. Her curiosity to understand others and her deep respect for perspectives beyond her own were truly remarkable, and qualities that inspired admiration in all who knew her.

Thanks to her loving family, just three days before her passing, I was fortunate to spend some time talking with her as she fondly shared memories of her childhood and also experiences from her time as our neighbor. That conversation, filled with laughter, reflection, and warmth, will forever remain close to my heart. While it is difficult to accept that she is no longer with us, I feel grateful beyond words for that final, meaningful interaction.

Edna taught me invaluable lessons about life, especially about facing even the toughest moments with grace, balance, and harmony. She will always be remembered for her generous lively spirit, her engaging and joyful conversations, her ability to put others at ease, and the small moments of fun she so deeply enjoyed.

Her presence enriched our lives, and her memory will continue to inspire us. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

I worked with Edna at Internal Revenue Service for 15 years. Whenever we traveled for work, Edna was the life of the party. She always made people at ease, and entertained us with laughter. Edna visited me in San Francisco 10 years ago which was when I saw her last. She bought a book for my son which I will always cherish. Edna was one of a kind. A loyal friend to me, her family, and many others. I will miss her immensely. With deepest sympathy to Edna´s family who she absolutely adored and spoke so highly of.
With much love, Linda Fortier-Eason
