Edna L. Spencer, 93, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Edna was a proud mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed hosting Thanksgiving dinners, family gatherings, and most importantly spending time with her family.
She was born on May 28, 1931 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Lee and Enis (Whorley) Green. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her son, Robert Norrington, Jr.; sister, Charlotte "Junie" Green; four brothers, Donald Green, James "Jimmy" Green, David Green, and Lee Abbott.
Edna is survived by her children, Patty Arnold, Tina (Richard) Glaze, Rex Norrington, and Julie (Sam) Mills; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana) and Monday, August 12, 2024 from 10:00 am until the time of service. Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, August 12, 2024 at the funeral home with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth, Indiana.
The family requests that contributions in Edna’s memory be made to St. Jude Children Hospital.
