Edra Hill Obituary
The daughter of Oscar Kenneth and Clara Viola (Williams) Tarrant, she was born June 11, 1945 in Liberal, Kansas. Edra attended the Rolla, Kansas school system, graduating with the class of 1963. She then attended secretarial school in Wichita, Kansas.
Edra met Steven "Duke" Hill while working at Tradewinds in Liberal, Kansas and they were united in marriage on August 6, 1965 at the Rolla United Methodist Church. While living in Liberal they enjoyed bowling on leagues. In 1968, they moved to Rolla and Edra worked as a teacher's aide for Rolla Schools. She was a member of the Rolla United Methodist Church and active in the United Methodist Women. Edra enjoyed playing cards, baking cakes & cookies and watching all the Rolla Pirates sports.
She was preceded in death by her husband on February 26, 2022; her parents and nephew, Casey Jones.
Survivors include her three children: Pamela Hill of Guymon, Oklahoma, Michelle and husband, Gary Mathiews of Woodson, Texas, and Bradley Steven Hill and wife, Gina of Hooker, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Darcy McKee (Kyrié), Logan Daniel, Audrey Daniel, Brody Mathiews, Embrie Hill and Easton Hill; two great grandsons, Morgan Daniel and Augustus McKee; two brothers: Kenneth Tarrant and wife, Linda of Derby, Kansas and Clifford Tarrant of Fort Collins, Colorado; one sister-in-law, Jeanie Jones of Oklahoma; along with many other extend family and friends.
There will be a family inurnment service at the Rolla Cemetery at a later date. Memorials in memory of Edra can be made to the Rolla Methodist Church. Memorials will be accepted at the Bunch – Roberts Funeral Home, PO Box 1112, Guymon, OK 73942.
