Rev. Trouten quickly became a friend with a big smile and kind word always so wise and inspiring. I can attest to the fact that Rev. Trouten had remodeling skills. My family Rev. JD Young followed the Troutens to Harrison Chapel the hidden gem of the conference. He had done a lot of remodeling and we continued to keep up the old church and house. Later as Dad and Rev. Trouten became more involved in the conference we had many times to talk and look for advice, always willingly and lovingly had the right words to say. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in the arms of the Lord, your earthly troubles are over and your journey is through. Welcome home my faithful son. We will meet you in the morning just inside the eastern gate.
