In memory of
Charlie Gili
April 27, 2013
Hello,
We would like to express our deepest condolences and also let the Wolf Family know that we recently sent Care Packages to American troops in the war zones. Each box carried a dedication sheet that includes the name, service information and a photo of your loved one. We recognize that this is a humble tribute, but we wanted you to know that it is heartfelt and made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals in the youth hockey community and beyond. We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Charlie Gili & Family

Prayer Shawls 4 Fallen Soldiers ([email protected]) is an organization with groups throughout the country who strive to send handmade prayer shawls and/ or lap robes to families who have lost a loved one in service to our country. Members of Trindle Spring Lutheran Church in Mechanicsburg, PA would like to honor your wife, mother and daughter’s sacrifice and memory by sending our prayers and comfort through a shawl which we will mail to you. If you are interested, please contact me at [email protected] with the names and addresses and what they would like to receive. We will send them as soon as possible. Also, if you know of any other families who are grieving the loss of a loved one who died serving our country, please pass along my e-mail address, as our organization can no longer get family contacts through the military. May God bless you and comfort you in the days ahead. Sincerely, Lynne

For all that know me...this SFC Maron and I was Duvi's recruiter and friend..this is the worst part of my job to see someone that you care about as an individual and a soldier and to lose from your family is the worst thing that can happen to anyone...my thoughts and prayers are to the family and to all those effected by the loss of someone near and special.

Prayer for Peace
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
Amen

May you rest in peace knowing you gave your all for this country and its valued ideals of self-sacrifice and democracy. And may your daughters grow up knowing their Mommy was a true hero; not just to them, but for all of us who know the meaning of sacrifice. With great respect, Rob Trigiano, CTACM, US Navy, Retired.

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to our Brother-in-Arms Sgt. Eduviges Wolf. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Eduviges. And to Eduviges it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Eduviges, you are a brave American Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,353 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Eduviges’ family and loved ones.

Duvi,
You are MY hero! Thank you for laying down your life for our country and being of such great service. Your courage, bravery, and sacrifice will NEVER be forgotten. You will live on in everyone's heart. You have touched so many people's lives you will never know. I love you Duvi! I can't wait to see you someday in heaven and thank you for all you have sacrificed for so many. We all have a guardian angel in heaven looking down upon us and continuing to protect us. I pray that Isabel and Valeri will know that their mother was and IS a true American hero that layed down her life so that others may enjoy freedom. YOU will live on in everyone's hearts forever. I love you and am so very proud of you Duvi!

I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Eduviges will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .

We offer our heartfelt sympathy to the family and friends of Sgt. Wolf and we honor her distinguished service to the cause of freedom and liberty. Sadly, America has lost one of its finest heroes, the U.S. has lost a friend and protector, and a family has lost an example of character and courage, which they will love and respect forever. Today, because of the sacrifice Sgt. Wolf has made, the house of freedom is stronger, sturdier, and more secure.
To the family and friends, of Sgt. Wolf, I would like you to know that a lot of people pray for you, and my hope is that their prayers will give you the strength necessary to carry on. Just as you were always with her when he was deployed overseas, know that she will always be with you wherever you may be. In the days to follow, may you be strengthened by the fact that Sgt. Wolf was a woman distinguished by exceptional courage and will always be admired for her brave deeds and noble qualities. You, your family and your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
"Our debt to the heroic men and valiant women in the service of our country can never be repaid, they have earned our undying gratitude. America will never, ever forget their sacrifices."
Sgt. Wolf the flag of the United States of America has your blood sewn into the fabric; it shall forever wave in your honor.
Freedom requires sacrifice the protected will never know.

May the loving arms of God surround you in His peace. His love & grace will be displayed through the many expressions of sympathy & support from your family, friends, and the community. I know the pain of losing a loved one to war...my nephew was killed in Iraq in July 2008...words cannot express the sorrow that I'm feeling for your family. Please know that there are so many people (way more than you can even comprehend) who are mourning your loss with you, and who are also thankful for your loved one's service to our great country...she is an American hero.
