Edward Robert Alden, 87, of Owings Mills, MD, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at his home. Born on October 29, 1938, in Baltimore City, MD, he was the son of the late Norman Alden and Mary Swontek Alden. He was the beloved husband of 65 years to Dorothy Alden.
Edward was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He worked as a well driller for 44 years until his retirement. Edward enjoyed watching golf and old westerns. Years ago, he was an avid bowler and played in leagues. He loved roller skating, especially with his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving him in addition to his wife are numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, November 21, from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm at the ECKHARDT FUNERAL CHAPEL, P.A., 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, MD 21117, where a funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm.
Interment to follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg, MD.
