Thank you, Scoutmaster Ed, for leading Troop 309 at Otterbein Methodist Church in Sunbury. You were the best role model a young man could have, steady, fair, and always there when it mattered.
Because of you, Scouting wasn´t just meetings and merit badges. You showed us character, responsibility, and what it means to serve others. I followed your example, and my 20 years in the United States Navy is one of the clearest signs of how much you shaped my life.
Thank you for everything you gave to the boys you led. Rest in peace, shipmate.
