Edward "Dent" Becton, 79, widower of Eliza McCray Becton died Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at his residence, 2192 L & H Pearson Rd.., Manning, SC. He was born June 10, 1946 in Beaufort NC. A son of the late Alonzo and Evelyn Goddett Becton.
Public viewing will be held Friday, September 5, 2025 at Hayes F. Samuels Sr. Memorial Chapel from 2:00-6:00 PM.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6 2025 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Zion AME Church, 6547 M W Rickenbaker Rd, Summerton, SC 29148. Burial will follow in the churchyard cemetery.
Live stream services will be on our Facebook page "Samuels Funeral Home LLC."
The family is receiving friends beginning Thursday, September 4, 2025, 3:00 PM daily at his residence.
