Edward "Benny" Benson

Edward was reunited with his sweetheart on Friday May 21, 2021, He was 76.
Benny was born September 10, 1944.
He will be sorely missed by his family, but we are all happy for him to be relieved of his earthly body and be free of his ailments.
Benny served our country in the Navy division. He has many fond memories.
He married the love of his life Sharon Lea Dykster on March 10, 1967. They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple. They had two children Kara & Chad.
He loved many activities-In his younger days he loved Scuba diving, boating, skiing, and playing Santa at Christmas. He loved luxury cars, gadgets, computers, pretty much any new technology. Always "needed" the latest technology on the Samsung.
At a young age he started working with J W Brewer who took him under his wing. He also worked for ZCMI and Commercial tire.
He opened his own Chevron /Tire shop in Brigham City. Years later he opened the Chevron/Tire shop on 21st Harrison Blvd. in Ogden Utah where he retired. He still loved to talk fuel prices & business.
His loved ones gone before him are his wife, Sharon, both parents Fred & Ruth Benson, three sisters Christine Olsen, Emma Haven, Edna Sparrow.
The ones left behind are his children Kara (Dave) Munford, Chad Benson, favorite grandson Jaden (Sage) Arnold, and his brother Fred (Myrl) Benson.
A special thanks to all that helped care for Benny.
Services were held Monday for the family.

Dear Kara, Chad, Jaden and family,
I´m so sorry for the loss of your dear father and grandfather.
Although I wasn´t close to him, I´ll always remember visiting with him and your beautiful mother at our grandparents house and at the annual family picnics. It was such a highlight for me, when they took our family boating at the reservoir. My parents loved your parents and always looked forward to spending time with them during their visits to Ogden.
Although it feels like our parents died too soon, I pray some day we will see them again in heaven.
