Edward S. Biro, age 58, of Sheffield Lake, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland. Born in Cleveland and raised in North Ridgeville, Ed moved to Sheffield Lake 20 years ago, where he made his home and left an indelible mark on the community. A proud graduate of North Ridgeville High School (class of 1985), Ed dedicated over a decade of his life to the Spitzer Jeep Dodge Ram Service Center in Brook Park.
During his tenure as service director, Ed's visionary leadership transformed the facility into the number one service department in the Spitzer family. He was a key contributor to the multi-million dollar expansion and improvement project that not only elevated the center's reputation but also set new standards in customer service and operational excellence.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ed was a passionate animal lover and an avid sports fan. He generously shared his enthusiasm for sports by coaching for the North Ridgeville Football League and refereeing football and basketball games for various organizations.
Ed is survived by his long-time companion, Dana Sudnik; his brothers, Herb (Anna) Winchell of Parma, Kevin (Gayle) Winchell of North Ridgeville, Frank (Kelly) Biro Jr. of Coral Springs, Florida, Jeff (Carrie) Biro of Elyria, Rick (Katie) Biro of North Ridgeville, and Mike (Melissa) Biro of Amherst; along with many nephews, nieces, cousins and his Aunt, Fran Gesten of Strongsville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Janet Biro.
Friends and family are invited to a Celebration of Ed's life to be held Saturday June 7, 2025 from 4-7 PM at Bogner Celebration of Life Center 7295 Greenlawn Drive, adjacent to the funeral home. His legacy of leadership, commitment to excellence, and community spirit will continue to inspire all who knew him.
