Professor Brucker was one my advisors as an Undergraduate Physics major at Stevens. I graduated in '83. Strangely, even though I spoke with him often, I never ended up enrolled in one of his classes.
I also originally hail from Baltimore, so we had many things in common.
I'm saddened that I never really got to speak with him again, post graduation. At the very least, to thank him for all of the thoughtful advice he gave.

I was employed at Johns Hopkins University by Dr. Aihud Pevsner in 1956 when Byerly, I believe was his first doctoral candidate student. As a laboratory technician, I was tasked to calculate the mass of the Lambda (the topic of his dissertation) using formulas he supplied and a mechanical calculator. He also convinced me to join him (on clarinet) and Steve (on bassoon) in the Hopkins Symphony Orchestra playing the viola! It seems SO long ago- recalled by Doris Ellis (now Sweet). 9/17/2024
