Pat,
I only received news of Ed's passing last night and offer B.J.'s and my condolences to you and Ellen. Ed was a gifted, passionate and compassionate man whom I am proud to have called a colleague and friend.
Many Blessings,

I first met Ed when he had prepared a road map for his wife Patricia when we had to drive from Richmond to BWI. Ed's map for life was equally thought out and followed. Just as the road map, Ed prepared his own map for life to meet every Christian responsibility and chalLenge. Husband, Father, Friend, Volunteer, whatever hat he wore, Ed shared his zeal for Christian living. My friend, "Onward Christian Soldier"....

To Ed's wife and daughter:
Ed is and was a brilliant man with a heart of gold and an insight from which we could all learn. His calm demeanor and quiet wisdom was a joy to share in fellowship on Saturdays with our God-focused friends. I always loved hearing him speak.
There are so many things about his life that I never knew . . . including his membership with the Richmond Cotillion, and his work with the amazingly important 1960 Greensboro Woolworth sit-in. I am not surprised about his depth of character.
May your hearts be healed and your burdened lightened as you recall how many positive moments your husband and father shared with friends, near and far!
Godspeed Ed!
