Edward Lee Carter

Edward Lee Carter, age 79 of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away from this earthly home on December 7, 2025 surrounded by family. Edward was born on August 3, 1946 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Anna Lee (McIntosh) and Crawford Carter. After high school, Edward enlisted and proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was also proud of his Choctaw Nation heritage. He enjoyed cooking, sitting outside and bird watching, drawing, watching his favorite game shows, and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Edward is survived by his daughter, Tammy (Carter) Moberly of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren, Trenton Boston of Talihina, Krystyn and Jaydee Holcomb of Talihina; Bryanna Moberly of Bartlesville, and Kaitlyn Moberly of Bartlesville; brother, Donald Carter of Piedmont; sisters, Linda and Jon Bryant of Talihina and Glenda Curley of McAlester; as well as numerous extended family and a host of friends.

Edward is preceded in passing by the love of his life, Gloria Carter; mother, Anna Lee Carter; brother, Bobby John Carter; best-friend, Carlos McIntosh

Pallbearers will be Zac Carter, Jordan Carter, Brian Curley, Heath Curley, Greg Bryant, and Jody Kindred.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina.

Services will be on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 1:00PM at Talihina First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the New City Cemetery in Talihina. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
