Edward Childs

Dear Barbara and Daughters: I have fond memories of Ed as an active assessor and member of the MAAO. During my presidency, Ed was an enormous help to me. He helped plan a clambake during the summer Conference. Ed was an extraordinary fellow, always helpful, positive, smiling and just one of the best guys I ever knew in our profession. May the Lord comfort you and support you as you carry on cherishing his memory. Many of us will miss him for a very long time.

Ed, your passing is a profound loss for the MAAO and for me personally. We shared many fun-loving times together as well as the advice and counsel you gave me through the years. So many fun times, so many dinners and conversations; thinking of you always brings a smile to my face my friend.

Ed, you will be missed, by family, by your many friends, and by the Massachusetts Assessors Association. My thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. Hopefully good memories will help ease their sorrow.

Ed was the life of MAAO Summer Schools at UMASS. He also was always at the other end of the phone when I needed him. I will miss him greatly. God Bless you Ed.
