Edward J Chimera

Edward J. Chimera, 63, of Ormond Beach, FL died on January 5, 2024. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on September 13, 1960 to John and Josephine (De Angelis) Chimera.
Eddie lived in Brooklyn for most of his life. Everyone in the neighborhood knew Eddie- he always seemed to have the pulse of everything that was going on. Eddie could frequently be found down at the local corner convenience store buying a lottery ticket with a coffee and cigarette in hand. If you were family or friend, he had your back no matter what you might be going through. There was never a dull moment when he was around- he always seemed to be the life of the party with a great sense of humor that often left lasting memorable impressions.
When Josephine began to battle cancer, Eddie focused on being mom's primary caregiver. For years, he was faithfully with her to the very end. Four years ago, he moved to Florida to start a new chapter in his life. Sadly, he experienced a traumatic brain injury in a freak accident three years ago, ultimately succumbing to complications from that injury.
