Edward Colasanto Obituary
Edward Anthony Colasanto, age 70, of Hamden, CT, passed away on November 1, 2024. Ed was born and raised in the Pine Rock neighborhood of Hamden. Son of the late Edward and Marie Colasanto, Ed grew up with his friends at Pine Rock Park and graduated from Hamden High School in 1972. He was predeceased by his wife and high school sweetheart, Cathy Shea Colasanto. They were married on August 27, 1976 and went on to have two girls, Jamie (William Angier) and Marcy (Domenic Gagliardi). Ed was a proud Union Carpenter with Local 24. After a long career, Ed retired in 2013. He spent his time in retirement doing what he loved most, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and spending time with his daughters, his sister, Suzanne Colasanto, his grandkids, Riley, Avery, Joey and Olivia and his many friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden. Burial will follow in Beaverdale Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Don's Hat Rack, via Venmo @RoePerrotti

So sorry to hear about Eddie´s passing. I go way back to Helen Street school with Ed. I remember playing football with him down to Eli Whitney Field, and playing army behind Les Spector`s house . He was a great kid , rest in peace Ed.

To the Colasanto family we are so sorry for your loss. Ed and Cathy were our neighbors when we lived in Hamden. I remember our son would like to go over a spend time with Ed. He was like his big brother. RIP Ed.

Eddie & I were "lead altar boys" at St. Ann & we used to "nip" from the wine after Mass. Made all our sacraments together & when he became head usher, I became lecturer. Thanks for the memories guy, we'll take it from here. Rest in Peace

Eddie and his girls have been amazing neighbors for the last 19 years. It won´t be the same on Hideaway Lane. He will be greatly missed. What a wonderful father, grandfather, neighbor, friend and so much more. RIP Eddie
