Edward J. Davis, 74, of Findlay, died on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at his residence, Findlay. He was born on December 20, 1950, in Cleveland to the late Jack J. and Delores K. (Pesta) Davis. He married Susan Elaine Conine on August 3, 1974, and she survives.
Eddie is also survived by his son, Shannon Edward Davis of MI; daughter, Amber Susan Davis of Findlay; grandchildren: Austin Caleb Davis, Brianna Danielle Decker, Lillian Sweetwater Davis, Clayton Lee Albert, Brayleigh Angel Noward; 3 great-grandchildren from Brianna: Amari Ritter, Daxton Williams, Mathias Davis; brother, Richard (Suzanne) Davis of Elizabethtown, KY.
He was also preceded in death by his brothers: Kenneth J. Davis and Jackie J. Davis; sister, Marion Norris.
Eddie was an avid Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, and Ohio State fan. He was most passionate about taking care of and providing for his family, which he did without fail up until his very last breath. He knew no strangers and would give anyone the shirt off his back without question. He was the most selfless, giving, caring, non judgmental person anyone could have the pleasure of knowing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, close friends, reading, fishing, and listening to his music. He had a gift of being able to make people smile & laugh, even in the most difficult of times. He loved God, his family, his country, taking his "girl" GiGi for walks & the big city of Cleveland, Ohio.
He held his wife/soulmate of 51 years (Rella), his children, and grandchildren closest to his heart. He was an amazing husband, father, friend, and grandfather; and an even more remarkable father figure for his grandchildren, Clayton and Brayleigh. He was proud to have served his country in the Navy as a Seabee for four years. He retired from Cooper Tire as a boil operator engineer after 30 years where he put in endless hours and made many great lifelong friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay, where visitation will be held 2 hours (11 a.m.- 1 p.m.) prior to the service. Full military rites will be conducted by the Hancock County Veterans Memorial Squad.
