Edward H. Ewing passed away October 10, 2021 at home. Ed was born December 31, 1951 in Oklahoma City, OK to Frank and Dora Ewing. He was 69 years old and the youngest of 6 children.
He Graduated from Southeast High School in Oklahoma City in 1970. He joined the United States Air Force and served 4 years both overseas and at home. After being discharged he went to work for Tinker Air Force Base working as a Production Materials Technician. He retired in 2007 after 27 years Civil Service with Tinker Air Force Base. A few years later he went to work for the Oklahoma Blood Institute delivering blood to hospitals in need.
He is survived by his wife Darlene Ewing; three children: son, Tim Ewing and wife, Melissa; daughter, DeAnna Hicks and daughter, Teri Johnston and husband, Justin; two step children, Shayla Cooksey and Dustin McCaslin; two sisters, Thelma Morrison and husband Dennis; also Shirley Sullivan and husband, Kenneth; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents Frank Ewing and Dora Nunn Ewing, two sisters Kathy Burger and Bertie Moore; brother, James Ewing and two great, brothers-in-law, (so there were many loving arms in heaven to welcome him when he arrived.) Ed enjoyed traveling, spending time at the lake, building and repairing just about anything. He was a true handyman and an avid OU fan. He loved his Sooners!
