Edward Garcia Jr.

Edward Garcia, Jr. entered eternal rest on November 8, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born on December 1, 1944 to Edward and Mary Louise (Elam) Garcia.
He is preceded in death by his parents and son-in-law, Virgil Mutz. Edward leaves behind to cherish his memory; his wife of 28 years Stella (Davila) Garcia; sons, Joe Garcia (Sandra), Michael Garcia (Christina), and Daniel Garcia (Anabella); daughters, Michelle Espinoza (Steven), Gwendolyn Herrera (Jorge), and Nicole Cavazos Mutz; brothers, Ronnie Garcia and Donald Garcia; 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members and friends.
Edward proudly served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force for 4 years. After completing his enlistment he became a fire fighter with the Castle Hills Fire Department retiring as a Captain. If he wasn't spending time with his family, you could find him casting a line and enjoying his fishing adventures.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 P.M. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. A funeral service will be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery where military honors will be rendered.
