My family were all patients of Dr Held since early 1960's. I can still remember him coming to our home to give my sisters and brother "check ups" and visiting with my parents. He continued to care for both my parents until their deaths. He was such a caring and "gentle" man, and I was saddened to hear of his passing. He was also so much fun to visit with, always had a smile and a way that made you feel you were his only patient and would spend as much time with you as needed.I've been a nurse for over 27 years and know that he was well respected in the medical community and I feel blessed to have had him as a part of my "growing years". I will always remember him fondly.=Janice Martin Marsh

I sincerely wish that I made an effort to stay in touch with Uncle Ed and Aunt Joan. I have fond memories of their yearly visits to Seattle over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Uncle Ed always had the latest Radioshack gizmo and generally kept to himself, away from the comotion of the neighborhood kids and the dog. I fondly remember touring the old REI store on the biggest shopping day of the year in search of the perfect winter glove and listening to Uncle Ed's reports following his latest bicycle tour.

I'll always remember Uncle Ed's chuckle and sweet smile.

I had the pleasure of running into Dr. Held on a daily basis when we officed in the same building at the Medical Center Towers. Without fail, he always had a joke ready and it was fun to share a laugh with him. I believe Dr. Held knew my parents, Dr. Dan Lambrecht (deceased)and currently, Dr. and Mrs. Edward Anderson. On behalf of all of us, our deepest sympathies.
