Edward J. Hock

View Video Tribute Edward J. Hock, age 77, of Venice, FL passed away on January 6, 2012. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on March 15, 1934. Edward came to Venice in 1998 from South Lyon, Michigan. He was the owner of Hock Sod Farm and Hock Acres Driving Range in South Lyon. His love of sports was a theme throughout his life. Edward was inducted into the South Lyon Athletic Hall of Fame in 2004. He was an avid golfer and a member of Jacaranda West Golf Club. He is survived by his wife, Rita, and his children Edward Annie) Hock of South Lyon, MI, Susan ( Mike) Showerman of South Lyon, MI, Linda Jarvie of Ypsilanti, MI, and George Hock of St. Petersburg, FL; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ruth Pyne.
