Edward Holt

Edward "Eddie" Holt was born on November 17, 1948, in Tralake, Mississippi, to Roosevelt and Roda Holt. He was their firstborn and the oldest of eleven siblings. From the very beginning, Edward "Eddie" carried a spirit that would later become his signature vibrant, loving, and full of life.

On Friday, February 27, 2026, Edward "Eddie" lost his battle with dementia after a courageous fight. Although his earthly journey has ended, the joy and warmth he brought to others will continue to live on.

Edward "Eddie" loved music. He loved to dance. He loved a good party. If there was a song playing, you could count on Edward "Eddie" to find the rhythm and enjoy the moment. He was always up for a good time, right up until the very end. His laughter, his energy, and his ability to turn an ordinary gathering into something memorable made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.

Saturdays were special in Edward "Eddie"'s world. That was his day to call everyone he knew-checking in, catching up, and, in his own words, "getting the gossip". With music playing in the background and the sound of ice swirling in his cocktail, those calls weren't just conversations; they were connections. Edward "Eddie" valued relationships. He wanted to know how you were doing, what was going on, and how he could be part of your life.

People describe Edward "Eddie" as caring and loving man always willing to help someone through a tough time. If you needed support, encouragement, or simply someone to listen, Edward "Eddie" was there. His heart for others defined him just as much as his joyful spirit.

Edward "Eddie" lived his life in a way that reminds us to stay connected, to enjoy the music while it's playing, to dance when we can, and to cherish the people around us.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM with a Service to begin at 12:00 PM. Internment will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
