Survivors include wife Tiffanie Lynn Hurd; 12 children Reina Macy Elkins and Landon Elkins, Taryn Reece Hurd, Camden Riley Roberts and Aaren Chavez, Darian Nicholas Hurd and Kaisha Arnold, Lawrence Wesley Hurd and Susan Reyes Hurd, Sierrs Dezarae Weaver, Juan Andres Hurd, Timeteo Jose Hurd, Selena Irene Hurd, Sawyer Lee Lontz, Tavin Darnell Spicer, and Markel Dante Webb; grandchildren Evelyyn Georgia Hurd, Harmony Janice Hurd, Karsyn Rey Elkins Hurd, Indi Rose Logan, Kayson Edward Horton, Wyatt Lucas Lofton, Zyaire Glynn Elkins, Zander Arkayden Trimble, and Sage Chaves.
Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 9, 2024, at Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Muskogee, with Jindy Patterson officiating. Interment will follow at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the care and direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the service are Hank Bell, Bill French, Trenton French, Zachery Roberts, John Gilmore, and Timothy Katowitch. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Ross and Earl Wayne.

I met Sgt Hurd in 2010 when we were training up for Afghanistan.
Sgt Hurd was one was one of my Team Leaders and one hell of a soldier. I will never forgot his smile and laugh. So many memories together. Sgt. Hurd you will be missed!

I went to school with Edward in Johnson, Ks. We rode the bus together. He was a very kind kid and we had fun together. I´m sorry for your loss.
