Mr. Keane and his family remain in my family's prayers. He was a kind man and a thoughtful neighbor.

Just another sad American

Your absence is still felt by your country, six years later. We are so sorry for your family's loss. We all know it wasn't supposed to be this way. I hope you are at peace.

As I stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

ED

Although I missed the family reunion in June and later your memorial service, and never having the opportunity to meet you in this life,I feel that opportunity will present itself in the next one.

GOD has blessed me in allowing to know you through the wonderful cards that your famiy sent us,and was BLESSED again in allowing me the Honor to volunteer and work along side so many dedicated people down at the WTC site.

In doing so I think I got to meet you for the first time in my life and I am grateful to GOD for that.

We will meet again ED.

GOD grant YOU eternal life and happiness.

GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

LOVE

Dad,

I never saw you so happy as I did on the day of my wedding - September 8th, 2001.

You'll always be my inspiration - always a smile on your face, and a positive outlook on life. You lived to work. Each day with the Port Authority was a new adventure, an adventure you loved. You gave it your all!

I'm watching out for mom, as you told me to do when you couldn't be there yourself. You're always with us!!

Proud to be your son!!

Love, Mark

Dear Ed,
Although we did't see each other for seven years. Our train rides were always a pleasant and welcome treat. You always had a kind word, a smile and a joke or two. Writing this to you helps me deal with your loss. I remember you fondly, and i tell my son stephen about the "nice" man from the train. Charlie and I think of you in our prayers. God bless you.
Your friend, Barbara

Dear Ed - I must say that I missed your always pleasant smile and demeanor after you retired and although puzzled why you came back, I was glad you did. Now knowing why you came back to the good ol' PA I can understand why that smile was always from ear to ear. I'm saddened that I will not get to see that smile in person anymore, but I will always see it when I think of you - and whenever I think about awarding a PATH Contract which I got to do for you often. God Bless Sir - and I Pray that the Lord will hold your family close whenever they miss that smile too!

What a warm and friendly smile Edward has in the picture you have shared with the world. Such a smile can only come from a happy heart. May Edward's smile, life and love continue living in those who love him. We are very sorry for your loss of Edward. Our hearts cry with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
