Edward E. "Buck" Levins 84, was called home to his Lord and Savior Tuesday, January 13, 2026 while surrounded by family. He was the New Year's Baby born January 1, 1942 in Montezuma, Georgia. Buck was a 1960 graduate of Warner Robins High School and later attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia. Buck served in the Georgia Army National Guard. He began his career in banking in 1964 at Robins Federal Credit Union as a clerk. He worked with Robins Federal Credit Union for the next forty four years until retiring as president. Buck was a huge Georgia Bulldogs fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his son, Buck and supported the Boy Scouts of America. He was a long time member of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church in Perry, Georgia.
He was the son of the late William Thomas and Lena Mae Bateman Levins. He was also preceded in death by one brother, William Thomas Levins Jr. and one sister, Nan Levins Varney.
Surviving are his loving and dedicated wife of fifty four years, Betty Sue Williams Levins of Blairsville, Georgia; one son, Thomas Buckley "Buck" Levins and wife, Jaime of Blairsville, Georgia; two grandchildren, Thomas August Levins and Caroline Elizabeth Levins; and cousins, Jeff and Brent Wingate and their families of Moultrie, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held at Cool Springs Baptist Church in Sale City, (Colquitt County) Georgia. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers and in honor of Mr. Levins's grandchildren, donations may be made to First Baptist Church Blairsville and designated to the Children's Ministry.
