Edward James Moisio

Edward James Moisio Jr., age 74, of Warren, Ohio, passed away on February 27, 2026, at his home surrounded by family and loved ones.

Edward was born on August 10, 1951, in Conneaut, a son of Edward James Moisio Sr. and Elizabeth Thompson.

He was married to Marcy Moisio, who survives him.

Edward dedicated his career to public service, working as a Fire Marshal for Kent State University. He was respected and received many merits for his commitment to safety and for helping to teach others how to fight fires, even teaching the United States Navy on new firefighting techniques. A simple and hardworking man, Edward enjoyed woodworking and took pride in growing vegetables in his garden.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Theodore Moisio.

In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by his sons, Benjamin Moisio (Christina) of Newton Falls, Ohio, and daughter in law to his late son, Kathy Moisio of Kent, Ohio; his sister, Dianne Moisio of Modesto, California; 10 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind multiple beloved grand-dogs.

Calling hours will be held on March 28 from 10 – 12 PM at The River Church, 4257 Todd Ave NW, Warren, OH 44485. Services to follow at 12.
