Edward Samuel Morgan, 84, Miller, entered his eternal heavenly residence on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at the Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, due to ongoing health complications.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Reck Funeral Home in Miller. Burial will be at Milesville Cemetery in Milesville, SD, at a later date.

Ed was born in Philip, South Dakota to Homer and Laura (Rossiter) Morgan. He was the fifth of eight siblings and grew up on a farm near Milesville, South Dakota. He attended country school grades 1st through 8th grade and graduated from Philip High School in 1959. On September 1, 1962, he married Bonnie Hanson in Philip.

Ed had numerous jobs throughout his life, but the job he enjoyed was driving a truck. In 1973, they moved to Billings, MT, and he drove for Meadow Gold Dairy, driving over a million miles accident free. In 1988, they moved back to Philip, and he worked for Baye & Sons John Deere Implement Dealer as a salesman, driver, setting up machinery, then to a farm ranch job with Terry Buchert. In 1998, they moved to Miller where he worked for Greenline Implement, delivering equipment. After retirement, Ed worked for Tom Morog on the farm until his health was failing and he had to quit.

Ed's sense of humor will be remembered by all that knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie, of almost 63 years; daughter, Jeaniece (Lance) Taylor of Worden, MT; two sons: Justin Morgan of Mitchell, and Stephen (Jerico) Morgan of Box Elder; grandchildren: Leslie (Cord) Albrecht, Kelly (Richard) Hyde, Hillary (Evan Turner) Taylor, Kyle (Ashley) Taylor, Tiffany (Cody) Graves, Heather (Matt) Hickman, and Stephanie Morgan; great grandchildren: Danica and Easton Albrecht; Eliana and Emily Hagedon; Isaack Morgan; and Eza and Isiah Graves; sister, Connie (Billie) Parsons of Milesville, SD; brother, Keith Morgan of Billings, MT; sister, Kyle Taylor of Gillette, WY; and sister-in-law Nan Morgan of Billings, MT.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Laura; brothers: Al, Phil, Kent, and Gerald; sisters-in-law: Lori (Al), Mary (Gerald), and Norlene (Keith); brother-in-law, Fred Taylor; and infant great granddaughter, Daphne Hyde.
