Edward Silas Norris

 NORTH HERO- Edward Norris, age 80, passed away on December 4, 2025, at the University of Vermont Medical Center.

Edward was born on January 9, 1945 in Connecticut to Ernest and Gladys Norris.

Edward moved to Vermont at just 9 months old with his family, he remained in Vermont his entire life. In his younger years, he enjoyed golfing, bowling and was an avid NY Yankee's fan. Edward graduated from high school in 1963. He married the love of his life on November 27, 1964. He worked a few different jobs before being the head custodian for Alburgh Elementary School for over 30 years. After retiring he stayed home and enjoyed mowing the lawn, watching the birds and relaxing.

Edward is survived by his wife of 61 years, Linda; his daughter, Wendy Hazen (Paul); grandchildren, Adam (Shayna), Joshua, Jacob (Franny), Pyper; great grandchildren, Ayden, Wyatt, Blake, Sawyer; brother, Ernie Norris (Jo); brother and sister in-laws, Neil and Diane Hazen and their son, Jeremy, Cintra Hazen and her daughter Erica; nephew, Rob Hazen, and many other family members. Edward was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Gladys; in-laws, Arthur and Betty Hazen; children, Eric and Ellen; sisters, Sandy and Janet; nephew, Rick Hazen; and brother-in-law, Richard Hazen.

In respecting Edward's wishes there will be no public services for him. A graveside will be held this spring at the convenience of the family.
