Edward Carleton Page, 62, of Brooklynn, Connecticut, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2026, surrounded by his sister Carlene, brother-in-law Marty and Masonic brothers Shane Dufresne and Rev. Carl Anderson with his passing filled with prayers and peace.
Edward was born March 8,1963, in
Waterville, Maine. He is the son of Orville "Gus" Page Sr. and Mary (Tibbetts) Page from Winslow, Maine. Edward attended Winslow schools and graduated in 1981 from Winslow High School. Edward was a standout athlete in both baseball and basketball, beginning in elementary school all the way through High School, always striving to improve those skills. He continued his education at Vermont Technical College where he earned an AS in mechanical Engineering as well as a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
Edward had a very successful 37-year career in the medical device industry, holding positions at companies such as Boston Scientific, DAVOL, and Bard Endoscopy. He worked for Hobbs Medical Inc for the last 12 years in several roles, but most recently as the Director of Engineering. His dedication to the company and its employees was unwavering. Edward referred to his colleagues as family-and he truly made everyone feel that way. He enjoyed the friendly rivalry between his coworkers, ensuring they knew how faithful he was to the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots and the Boston Bruins. His quick wit and friendly, loving demeanor will be felt within the walls of Hobbs for years to come. Deeply respected and loved by all who worked with him, Edward played a pivotal role in the development of 6 medical devices over his career, for which he held patents, leaving a legacy of innovation and compassion.
Edward followed his father's, grandfather's and uncle's footsteps into the Freemason fraternity. Upon joining Moriah Lodge #15 in Brooklyn, Connecticut in 2007, he began a proud and active 18-year journey where he attained many achievements, accomplishments and honors. He was active in many Masonic bodies of the fraternity. He joined the three York Rite Masonic bodies in North Windham, Connecticut. He was exalted a Royal Arch Mason in Trinty chapter #9. He was received and greeted as a Royal Select Master in Mongomery Council #9. He was knighted as Knight Templar in St. John's Commandery #11. He served the Commandery as the Eminent Commander in 2013-2016. He received the Knight Commander of the Temple Award in 2016, by the Grand Encampment of the Knights Templar of the USA. He also served as the Right Eminent Grand Master of the Knights Templar for the state of Connecticut in 2023. He was a 32 Degree Scottish Rite Mason in the Valley of Norwich, Connecticut. He was a Shriner in the Pyramid Shrine of Stratford, Connecticut. He served as a District Deputy in 2015 and 2016 for District 9A. In 2017 he was appointed to the Grand Line of officers of Connecticut. He progressed through the line, culminating with him serving the state of Connecticut as Grand Master, the highest position in 2024. In 2021 he was awarded the Pierpont Edwards Metal, the highest honor in Connecticut Masonry. With no relatives in Connecticut, he considered the men and women of the Masonic fraternity a part of his family. He was larger than life and was well known for his hugs, humor, taking countless selfies with members of the fraternity and his love for music, from making his own cassette tapes to share with friends, as a young child to leading sing-alongs when he was gathered with his Mason family. Edward had a generous and thoughtful spirit that touched everyone he met. He was a true friend to so many.
He was predeceased by his father Orville "Gus" Page, his mother Mary (Tibbetts) Page, and brother O. Carleton "Dockie" Page Jr.
He is survived by his loving sister Carlene (Carli) Page-Redmann and husband Marty; sister-in-law Deenie Page; 3 nephews Stephan Page and wife Sherry, Christopher Page and partner Jess, Zachary Redmann and wife Charlotte; as well as several great nieces and nephews; special Masonic brothers Adam Fenney Shane Dufresne and Rev. Carl Anderson. Edward also left behind special feline friends; Prince and Kemet that were a part of his life and Princess that held a special place in his heart.
A graveside service is planned for June 20, 2026, at 12:30 at Chadwick Hills Cemetery in South China, where he will be buried by his mother and father.
