He was my grandfather and the bravest, happiest, most honorable family man that I have had the pleasure of knowing. Most grandfathers teach their granddaughters how to fish and be spoiled. My grandfather spoiled me but also taught me about the Navy, his LST ship, WW11, honor and what it is to truly be an American hero. I love you grandpa

Dear Shirley and Family,
I was so saddened to hear of "Uncle Eddie's" passing. I last saw him at dad's funeral. He was still full of spunk, just as I always remembered him. I will never forget being younger and going to the airport and taking a ride in a plane with someone I, nor my mother knew. Needless to say, Mom was not happy, but she called Uncle Eddie and he told her that the pilot was a good one and there were no worries. He saved my butt!
Lots of love and prayers sent your way.
Merry Lague
