Edward Paul Pobiak (Ed), 96, of Palm Coast, FL, passed away on September 22, 2025. Ed was born December 23, 1928 to John and Pauline Pobiak in Harwick, Pennsylvania, and was raised in Springdale, Pennsylvania.

Ed was a graduate of Springdale High School and went on to study Business at The University of Maryland. He dedicated many years to Remington Rand Corp and finished his working career with his brother, Albert Pobiak, in the real estate industry. Ed was known as a diligent, gentle, and trustworthy soul in all he did. Ed's motto was "Enjoy Life!"

Ed played football throughout his school years. He played for the University of Maryland where he played in a few Gator Bowl games. There he was known for not giving up any sacks on the quarterback and opening up nice running lanes for the running backs. His quiet dominance brought him several professional contract offers from clubs like the Chicago Bears and Baltimore Colts. Ed moved on from college to serve honorably in the United States Air Force during The Korean War.

Ed is survived by his loving wife, Thelma "Sam" Chisholm-Pobiak; daughter, Catherine Snodgrass (husband, Roger Snodgrass); son, Lawrence Pobiak (wife, Mitsy Pobiak); brother, Hank Pobiak; grandson, Roger Snodgrass, Jr; grandson, Kyle Snodgrass (wife, Amber Snodgrass); granddaughter, Mary Catherine Crowder (husband, Steven Crowder); grandson, Chad Snodgrass (wife, Lexi Snodgrass); granddaughter, Rebecca Francis (husband, Kenneth Francis); grandson, Phillip Snodgrass; great grandchildren, Jewel Salinas (husband, Alonso Salinas); great granddaughter, Meadow Snodgrass; great grandson, Ebon Snodgrass; great granddaughter, Harper Snodgrass; great granddaughter, Layla Snodgrass; great granddaughter, Emerie Snodgrass; great grandson, Galahad Crowder; great grandson, Steel Snodgrass; great grandson, Percival Crowder; great grandson, Dartanian Francis; great-great grandson Arlo Salinas; former spouse, Lillian Pobiak; sister-in-law Anne Pobiak and other extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his former spouse, Ramona Pobiak; brother, George Pobiak; brother, Rudy Pobiak; brother, Albert Pobiak; and brother, Joseph Pobiak.

Ed was widely known to be positive towards all, never speaking ill of anyone. His faith in Christ and devotion to the Catholic Faith were paramount, guiding everything he did, said, thought, aspired to, and prayed for. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, uncle, neighbor, all-around friend, and patriot.

There will be a Mass on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 11AM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church located at 4600 Belle Terre Parkway, Palm Coast, Florida 32164. After cremation, inurnment will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to a charity of your choice and to take a moment to "enjoy life!"
