Edward F. Renca

Edward F, Renca, 76, longtime partner and fiancé of Nancy Knox, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2025, at MidState Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family after a brief illness.
Born in Meriden on May 10, 1948, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary Renca and was raised by his aunt and uncle, the late Warren and Irene Wollschlager.
Ed was employed by Pratt & Whitney Manufacturing until his retirement
He was a veteran of Vietnam war, having served with the U.S. Army and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church. He enjoyed the beach, and the time well spent with family and friends in Rhode Island.
Besides his fiancée and longtime partner of 30 years, Nancy, he is survived by her children, who he loved as his own, Tracy Rosenzweig and William Rosenzweig and his wife Jennifer., five grandchildren; Jocelyn, Aubrie, Robert, Tyler and Kallie and two great grandchildren, Marceline and Charlotte. He is also survived by his siblings, Warren Wollschlager and his wife Sharon, Dr. Christine Wollschlager and her husband Bernard Adelsberg, Bruce Wollschlager and his wife Christine, Kevin Wollschlager and Roy Drew and Mark Wollschlager and his wife Sandra, a brother-in-law William Levesque and many nieces and nephews, He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Levesque.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, April 24th from 9 to 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish, St. Joseph Church, corner of Lewis Avenue and West Main St., Meriden, CT 06451. A Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 10 a.m. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
